Gaia Skincare appoints head of sales and announces internal promotion

Spa and skincare brand, Gaia Skincare, has named Jessica Scullion head of sales and promoted training and development manager Amy Harper to head of development and distribution.

The holistic wellness brand is now partnered with 50 spa partners across the UK and Europe.

The team says the two new staffing appointments are set to support the continued growth of the business over the year ahead.

Jessica Scullion
With 19 years’ experience in the spa industry, Scullion has a strong sales background having worked in account management roles over the past eight years, something she says has helped her firmly grasp how best to support and grow partner accounts.

Her career has seen her work her way up from a massage therapist to spa trainer and then on to spa manager roles, where she oversaw the successful opening of two new-build spas.

Scullion has rejoined Gaia after a two-year stint at HydraFacial supporting omnichannel sales within EMEA.

She first joined Gaia in 2018 and served as national sales manager for the next three years. During her tenure, Scullion supported Gaia’s launch and the opening of its flagship spa at Boringdon Hall, along with securing the brand’s first spa partner accounts in the UK and Ireland.

“As Gaia’s original national sales manager, I’m delighted to rejoin and support its growing and talented team,” she said.

Amy Harper
Harper is Gaia’s new head of development and distribution and has more than a decade of beauty and spa experience under her belt. She has spent the past five years serving as Gaia’s spa training and development manager.

Harper started her career in Bath, UK, working as a therapist in a variety of the spa town’s leading wellness facilities where she quickly worked her way up to spa manager.

After completing her teaching qualification, she decided to to work and travel around the globe, learning traditional Thai Massage techniques in Thailand, along with spending a couple of years working in Australia.

After settling back in Cornwall, UK, Harper joined the Gaia team in 2018, where she oversaw the training of all spa therapists at new accounts across the UK and Ireland.

After returning from maternity leave, Harper is taking up a new role where she will oversee the smooth delivery of products and resources to spa partners, manage the training team and work closely with Gaia founder, Diane Nettleton, in the development of new skincare products.
